Dogs are welcome in the campgrounds, but must be leashed.
Kachemak Bay State Park and State Wilderness Park Alaska's first state park, and only wilderness park, Kachemak Bay contains roughly 400,000 acres of mountains, glaciers, forests and ocean. A number of sites have been developed that may include fireplaces, picnic tables, tent platforms, information, outhouses or food caches.
Lake Havasu City: Cattail Cove State Park Cattail Cove State Park features a beach, boat ramp, and 61 camping & RV sites. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the park, but are not allowed on developed beaches at any time. Maricopa County Parks Campgrounds Camping sites are available at almost every park in Maricopa County.
National Forests campgrounds allow pets, but they must be leashed and under control in the campground and on the trails. Coker: Lake Lurleen State Park 91 modern campsites overlook the scenic 250-acre lake.
Advance reservations are recommended, especially on weekends and holidays.
Most sites in Desert View Campground are sized to accommodate tents or smaller RV's or Travel Trailers.
Pets are allowed in all three areas, but must be leashed at all times.
Two are north of Anchorage - at Eklutna Lake and Eagle River - and the third south of Anchorage at Bird Creek.
All have wooded sites with fire rings and picnic tables, water and latrines. Please be aware of the pet policy of the campground you're planning to visit. There is a public beach connected to the campground that welcomes dogs and their owners year round. Some campgrounds permit pet camping only in designated sites. Dauphin Island: Dauphin Island Campground, 109 Bienville Blvd., Dauphin Island, AL 36528 The Dauphin Island Campground is a dog friendly camping area.Pets on a leash are allowed on the Palo Verde Trail, Campground Perimeter Trail, and all roads open to visitors, including the paved campground areas.Pets are not permitted on any other trails or in the wilderness. No sites have been developed or designated for basic dry camping.The park has a trail for hiking and access to OHV back country roads. Eight beachfront campsites on grass overlooking Colorado River with 20-amp service, water. Campsites are available from an elevation of 3,000 feet up to 9,000 feet, offering a year round season of camping opportunities.
